Overview
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a BIM Manager to work on a 12month contract in Plymouth PL2.
As a BIM Manager your responsibilities and duties will include:
Provide the role of the Built Asset Security Manager (BASM) as defined in PAS 1192-5:2015/ISO 19650-5 Specification for security-minded building information modelling, digital built environments and smart asset management. This underpinning the Level 2 BIM requirements.
Provide a holistic view of the security issues and threats to be addressed on a project by project basis. The role of the BASM is to support multiple projects within the Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit.
Offer guidance and direction on the handling of security risks. Be accountable for security decisions that are taken.
Take ownership, manage, and update in the development of the built asset security strategy (BASS).
Take ownership, manage, and update in the development of the built asset security management plan (BASMP)
Take ownership, manage, and update in the development of security breach/incident management plan (SB/IMP).
Take ownership, manage, and update in the development of the built asset security information requirements (BASIR).
Assist in the development of plain language questions and Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) in projects, but also improve the security section of the MIP Project Information Requirements (PIR)
Assist in the management and reviewing of any tendering and project planning documentation, and how we may evaluate suppliers and contractors and their ability to work within the Common Data Environment.
Be responsible for promoting a security-minded culture - and applying the principals of security minded BIM. Must have an in depth knowledge of UK security classifications marking, security marking guidance, and the handling / sharing aspects of such data.
Brief advisors, specialists and supply chain on relevant aspects of the BASS, BASMP and BASIR as and when required.
Advise on the need for, and to undertake, the review and auditing of documentation, policies, processes and procedures relating to the security of the built asset; and
Where appropriate and necessary, seek and engage as necessary with other Babcock security professionals and the information assurance community and advice to provide additional guidance throughout the lifecycle of the project and/or asset.
Supporting on security accreditation for BIM tools, working with the Babcock security community, information assurance and accreditation team.
Supporting on BIM federation (classification level), monitoring, and the risk of aggregated data in BIM federated models, advising on redaction and following/driving the sensitive items list and guidance held in the BASIR.
To contribute to the federation strategy and supporting on the challenges of federated, and aggregated model sets. Outlining the measures the team shall adopt in ensuring the success of a security minded BIM approach to MIP Projects, but ensuring all federated models and interface management is undertaken in the correct secure environments appropriate to the data sensitivity and classification levels. Managing and update the Security Markings Matrix for projects.
Integrating as necessary existing Babcock security process, and providing recommendations for improvements ‘Security Minded BIM’.
Working with the MIP BIM Manager and BIM Coordinators to ensure security minded BIM aspects are fully understood, but also communicated to the wider delivery teams, both internally and externally.
Should be knowledgeable in the BIM process, and understand how information management, collaboration, and data accessibility is maintained, controlled and monitored to ensure security aspects are appropriately managed and owned. This will be driven by following the current Babcock policies and ensuring alignment with the BIM process.
Support engagement with the Authority on security minded principals and support accreditation processes as necessary.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced BIM Manager.
5-10 years exp in a similar role.
Good communication skills.
