The Role:
Highly respected consulting group requires a Business Development Manager to develop and grow their software, consulting, and training business.
You will be responsible for Identifying and developing new accounts by: cold calling and other lead generation activities; preparation and delivery of pre-sales presentations and proposals; closing orders; and post-sales follow-up.

Duties will include:
Development of sales quotations and negotiation with prospective buyers.
Management of existing accounts, encouraging software lease and maintenance contracts to be renewed and developing further incremental business.
Initiate and contribute to marketing campaigns, including mail-shots, sales seminars, advertising and trade shows.
Effective Co-ordination of activities with other members of the sales team and engineers within the business.
Contribute towards new marketing material, including corporate sales presentations and web-based articles.
Development and maintain sales plans and forecasts.
Frequent national and occasional international travel is required.

The Candidate:
You will be an ambitious individual, ideally with previous experience selling to the engineering simulation market, or experience in a technical simulation role with a desire to move into sales.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly and convincingly to large and small, technical and non-specialist, audiences at a senior level.
You will ideally be qualified to degree level or similar in an engineering, mathematics or related science discipline.

Remuneration:
Competitive basic package + uncapped performance–related commission scheme.
Negotiable salary
Company car/car allowance, laptop and mobile phone.
Flexible working hours, based on 37 hour week.
5 weeks annual leave + public holidays
