The Role:
Development Control Engineer responsible for processing the adoption of new highways and public ‘highway’ areas resulting from private developments, via. both Section 38 and Section 278 Agreements (Highways Act 1980)
Providing advice to developers and their agents, carrying out checks on submitted proposals and dealing with legal requirements and highway law.

The Candidate:
Experience of having worked in a Highways Development Control function within a local authority would be of considerable benefit.
Excellent communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with developers, planners, local residents, ward members and members of parliament.
