EC&I Technician - hinkley Point B - Rate c£26/hr Umb - Duration 12months

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Cavendish Nuclear in order to recruit an EC&I Technician to work at Hinkley Point B on a 12 month contract.
As an EC&I Technician your responsibilities and duties may include:
 This position would suit an industrial electrically experienced, motivated individual capable of working both as a team and autominously.
The role will involve working alongside a team of engineers and technicians in the completion of cradle to grave installations and modifications to plant and systems.
The individual will need to demonstrate a strong health and safety culture and provide evidence of working within an industrial environment.
An element of flexibility will be required in order to work overtime hours (including weekends) at short notice to support return to service of plant and equipment.
The role provides an opportunity to build on supervisory skills and training within a Nuclear envrironment in order to hold safety permits and radiological work permits.
Such work may include the following:

 Site surveying and scope identification
 Working to drawings, instructions, methods statements and risk assessments.
 Modifying electrical control panels
 Installation of uni-strut, cable tray and trunking
 Electrical (typically 110V/415V) and instrumentation installations (4-20mA Analogue)
 Relay Logic Control Systems
 Fault finding and rectification
 Supporting the commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation installations.
 Supporting the maintenance and use of specialist camera inspection equipment.
 Maintaining safety in all works undertaken in line with regulatory and CSG compliance policies.
 Secondary roles within the team as required by the Engineer in Charge
 Identifying issues/improvements/recommendations to plant and equipment for consideration by engineers
 Working at height, in confined spaces and within radiological controlled areas.
 Basic IT skills required (e.g. Word, Excell, Outlook)
  Role may require temporary work periods at other stations within UK
 Basic instrumentation (e.g. dataloggers, pressure transmitters) configuration and setup experience would be a benefit.

Requirements:
Previous experience of electrical installation work within an industrial environment essential.
Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship (i.e. NASEC/CITB/CompanyTraining Scheme)
Successful completion of current IEE Regulations Training
Ability to understand and work from electrical schematical drawings
Previous experience of instrumentation and calibration is desireable
Site Installation/Maintenance experience in Nuclear/Power Generation (preffered but not essential).
Ability to work in a heavily regulated, Safety Critical Environment
Currently hold or able to attain minimum CTC vetting.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced EC&I Technician.
You must have worked on Nuclear / Power Stations.
5 years experience.
CTC clearance.
