FEA Engineer - Automotive - 6 Months+ Contract - South Coast - £Competitive Rate

The Role:
You will have the opportunity to work in a state of the art -Technical Centre.  
Your primary role will be to provide FEA support to engine and powertrain design and development projects. 
Some Key Responsibilities will include:
Production of high quality innovative mechanical analysis of power train components using state-of-the-art multi-body dynamics, hand calculations and FEA techniques.
Analysing and directing recommendations for problem resolution to the expectation of the client.
Interfacing with internal and external clients to deliver updates, design recommendations and analysis results.

The Candidate:
As an experienced FEA Engineer you should be comfortable in meeting new customers and developing relationships, operating within the Base Engine Engineering team and working with Product Groups to support and deliver multi-discipline engine programmes
You should have a track record of engineering project / product development, ideally within the automotive or engine development industry, but allied industries will also be considered.
You should have a strong technical background in mechanical analysis, with application experience of analysis of engine or reciprocating and rotating components, eg cylinder head, crankshaft, cylinder block, connecting rod, NVH calculations, multi-body dynamics or FEA tools.
Proven interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
Experience of some commercial analysis codes (e.g. Altair Hyperworks, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ENGDYN, VALDYN, ADAMS, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, EXCITE, MATHCAD, MATLAB)
