Highways Design Engineer; 5 months Contract; Southampton; c£35-40/hr (Umbrella)
KEY Skills: Highways, Design, AutoCAD, DMRB, MCHW

The Role:
As a Highways Design Engineer, you will be working on the designs of small scale highways projects.
Duties will involve preparation of highway designs, reviewing scheme drawings, assisting with the preparation of design fee estimates and interfacing with clients.
A working knowledge of the DMRB and current relevant design standards/codes is essential.

The Candidate:
You will ideally hold a Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering.
Experience of working in a highway design office in either local authority or consultancy office.
Experience of delivering highway related projects.
Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with other discipline team members.
Good Project Management skills.
Understanding of cost and risk.
