The Role:
Our client requires a highways design engineer on a permanent basis in Manchester, working on projects on behalf of Oldham and Salford Council. You will join the highways team, tasked with agreeing briefs, programmes and budgets with the portfolio managers and ensure schemes are delivered to these requirements. As Highways Engineer you will prepare concept designs and take responsibility for delivering schemes to programme and budget. You will also prepare reports, specifications and other deliverables for their schemes.

The Candidate:
You will be a Highways Engineer with significant experience in design and construction of highway schemes.
You must have a minimum HND/HNC qualification, preferably BSc/BEng/MEng qualified.
You should have knowledge of highways engineering design codes and specifications (DMRB/MCDHW).
