Lead GIS Mapping Analyst, 6 month contract based at Whitehaven Cumbria.

The Role:
As the Lead GIS Mapping Analyst you will be involved in the management and visualisation of large spatial datasets, and will also provide GIS and data management support.  
You will work with web development and spatial data management teams to develop business applications/tools and spatial data models. 
The main purpose of the role is to manage the Data team and integrate it with the sites business areas where appropriate and the other areas of the Sellafield limited Mapping teams
Develop and deploy key processes within the Sellafield Maps environment 
Develop spatial data processes 

The Candidate: 
You will be SC Cleared
You will have several years experience of leading a GIS team and ideally have worked within the Nuclear Industry 
You will be conversant with both Esri and FME software
Your experience should include: 
Spatial analysis methods and techniques 
Digital cartography and web mapping  
Spatial data creation and editing 
You will have advanced skills in GIS, especially ArcGIS Desktop expertise 
The ability to code and script repetitive tasks 

In addition experience in the following is desirable:
ArcGIS Server / ArcSDE Geodatabases, ArcGIS Python scripting, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, FME Desktop and Server, graphics tools, map symbol and style creation.
