Mechanical CAD Engineer - Oxford - £31-£33/hr - Contract 3 - 6 months+

The Role:
Our client (Rutherford Labs) requires an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer / Engineer to work in Oxford on a 3 - 6month contract.
Your duties may include:
Mechanical component design
Mechanical stress calculations (basic)
Knowledge of contemporary manufacturing processes and the assembly of parts
Cryogenic temperature work, pressure components, vacuum technology and moving mechanism design would be a desirable.
Knowledge of material applications would also be a benefit.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer / Engineer qualified to at least ONC / HNC level.
You will have at least 5 years experience in mechanical component design using Solid Edge CAD.
Previous experience in design, calculations, testing / commissioning and knowledge of ceramics plus advanced grades of alloys would be advantageous.
