The Role:
As the MEP Resident Engineer you  must have a client focused outlook and be able to demonstrate solid experience of working in both a design and site capacity. You'll have a good working knowledge of building services installations; covering Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing. You'll be working as part of a team, as such you will be expected to manage your own work load and that of a small number of other staff on site.
You will also undertake a site engineer role and to maintain excellent levels of client service.  Our client will be able  to assist you with obtaining the visa / permits etc and they will cover these costs.
They will be looking to make a job offer in October. You will need to be on site in December for an Induction and work will start in January 2016.

The Candidate:
You will be a qualified MEP / Resident Engineer having a proven and demonstrable track record.
You should be able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of the discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.
Be able to carry out detailed reviews (and reporting of same) of contractor shop drawings and materials submittals, against the tender documents and other project requirements.
Review and comment upon any method statements prepared by the Contractor.
Responding expediently to site generated technical queries, requests for information, and change requests.
Comment upon any value engineering options put forward by the Contractor in terms of technical issues, cost, and programme.
Regular inspection of the installed MEP services and regular reporting of same against the contract specifications and drawings, and best practice installation standards
Be capable of undertaking a role in the MEP commissioning activities (witness testing) and associated reporting

Qualifications (desired):
CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
