The Role:
Our client Highways England are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to work on a 7 month contract, based in Guildford Surrey.
Your duties may include:
Supporting the feasibility, design and assessment work. (e.g. environmental impact studies and traffic modelling work).
Generating solutions to overcome project obstacles and mitigate risk.
Develop, update, monitor and report against detailed project plans.
Provide consultancy support as appropriate; and evaluate and act on such advice to ensure objectives are achieved.
Dealing with contract compliance, risk management, financial management and reporting, document control and governance. 
Help plan the migration of services.
Assess safety performance to minimise risks, develop improvements and escalate issues with relevant authorities in a timely manner and carry out any tasks identified to the post in the Level 2 and relevant 2a Organisational Health & Safety RACI charts

The Candidate:
You will be an Assistant Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator ideally with 5years experience.
Previous experience working for Highways England or Infrastructure company would be advantageous.
You should have knowledge or experience in: 
Dealing with Stakeholders.
Environmental impact studies and traffic modelling work.
Contract compliance, risk management, financial management and reporting and document control
Ideally you will be HND or Degree qualified
