Quantity Surveyor - Seascale - 12months - Rate c£46/hr Umb.

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd is working along side Balfour Beatty in order to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work on a 12 month contract at Seascale Cumbria.
As a Quantity Surveyor your duties and responsibilities will include:
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
To provide support to the Area Senior Quantity Surveyor and Senior Discipline QS in managing the main Contract with the Employer and developing and commercially managing subcontracts. To develop an in-depth knowledge of the Contract and subcontract conditions of contract to be able to support the delivery team as required.
Under supervision of the Area Senior Quantity Surveyor, day to day tasks are to include:
Prepare Subcontract/ Supply contract information for ITT, liaising with Procurement. 
Provide Commercial input into the procurement strategy and Evaluation reports.
Provide Commercial input to tender comparisons, selection and negotiation.
Prepare subcontract / supply contract documentation.
Ensure subcontracts are administered in accordance with agreed terms and conditions and authorities, and report any issues arising to the Senior Discipline QS in a timely manner.
Support Package Managers and other departments in their roles as required.
Attend and input into meetings (Procurement/ Progress/ POTW etc. etc.), providing Commercial advice where required.
Ensure variations to sub/supply contracts have Budget and PO approval. Raise necessary CE’s under the main contract/ CAS’s/ Scope Transfer forms and Exec Summary Reports as required. 
Liaise with Estimating Manager on CE evaluation as appropriate and advise control accounts
Ensure that any relevant issues affecting Subcontract packages are also appropriately dealt with under the requirements of the main contract.
Manage Engineering Order accounts, reviewing productivity and forecasting with Construction.
Undertake remeasures off drawings and/ or on site as required to establish accurate forecasting and reporting on productivity.
Ensure focus on the Main Contract schedule and ensure options to achieve or better programme dates are explored and implemented where possible.
Approve SC quotations in CEMAR (within authority)
Ensure SC payment certificates raised for entitlement only and by due date.
Support Control Account Manager (CAM) forecasts to completion.
Ensure that deliverables due under each sub/supply contract are tracked and reported to Package Managers.
Manage CEMAR for supply chain contracts, including set-up if applicable, issuing EWNs/ CEs/ GCs etc.
Provide Commercial input into SC Programme acceptance procedure.
Motivate, support and assist with development of Trainee QS’s.
Communicate with all relevant parties to ensure consistency of understanding and approach.
Project commercial administration tasks including progressing, tracking and logging project document approvals.
Providing commercial support to construction team for self-delivery.
Other commercial and contractual activities as determined from time to time by Senior Discipline QS.

NEC3 experience essential
Preferably nuclear experience
Preferably experience of working for a contractor
Quantity Surveying qualification.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Minimum 5 years’ experience, or 2 years post-qualification preferable


Piping Engineer - Warrington - 12months - Rate c£54/hr Umb

Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Balfour Beatty in order to recruit a Piping Engineer to work on a 12month contract at Warrington Cheshire.
As a Piping Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo. 

The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Principal Piping Engineer – Reporting to the Lead-Piping Engineer. 
To assist the Lead Piping Engineer in managing piping & stress team also in ensuring schedule and quality criteria are maintained.
Ensure and self-implements best practice along with maintaining technical accuracy and integrity of design engineering within team.

Duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and checking of various engineering documents, e.g. Technical Bid Evaluations, Outline Installation Method Statements, Engineering Orders, Package Document Listing, vendor documents etc.
Nuclear experience in a Principal Piping Engineer role
Minimum 15 years piping experience.
Detailed knowledge of Piping Design and Plant Layout
Proven understanding of Pipe Specifications
Liaison with technical specialists within the JV parent companies
A working knowledge of SL standards and procedures.
Knowledge of PDMS / Navisworks
Knowledge of CAESAR 2 software
HNC minimum.
