Resident Engineer - Contract - South Yorkshire - £265/day

The Role:
As an experienced Resident Engineer you will have extensive Electrical knowledge ideally having worked on numerous Data Centres. You will be working alongside the on-site contractors and the design teams to ensure that the installation of the electrical services are in line with Clients requirements and initial design.
As the Resident Engineer you will be signing off benchmarks, monitoring quality throughout the installation, continuous snagging, and witnessing of the commissioned systems.  You will also be required to review contractors’ submissions and respond the queries raised, with support from the project team.
You will be working in tandem with the design engineers however broad knowledge of electrical systems will be required.
A knowledge of associated services such as CCTV, BMS, fire alarms, lifts, escalators etc would be of great advantage.
You will be required to submit weekly reports.

The Candidate:
As a Resident Engineer the ability to work effectively at all levels with contractors on site as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.
Working knowledge of current UK standards and approved code of practice
Experience of working as a Resident / Site Engineer for a Design Consultant
Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
