Just released as excellent opportunities, Babcock Marine’s Energy and Marine business unit now require two Safety and Environmental Engineers to join their Safety Engineering Group (SEG) to help provide safety and environmental engineering management services for surface ships, submarine and commercial projects.
Duties will involve:
The successful Safety and Environmental Engineers will;
Provide professional safety and environmental engineering support to surface ship, submarine and commercial projects.
Provide safety and environmental case input to non-conformances and design changes for specified systems.
Support other members of SEG in developing non-nuclear safety and environmental assessments or cases.
Provide expertise and support in own engineering specialisation to other members of the safety team.
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECURITY CHECK (SC) CLEARANCE
In addition, the right candidates will possess;
Extensive engineering background in a relevant field.
Degree qualification, but HND/HNC level in an engineering discipline, with extensive experience in a relevant field will be considered.
Experience of working with MOD processes and publications.
Ideally you will be a member of a relevant institution (e.g. IMechE, RINA, IET, SARS etc.) and hold Chartered or Incorporated status.
