Senior Civil / Structural Engineer; 12mth contract; Cumbria; Rate to c£60.0/hr (umbrella)

The Role: 
A senior / principle, Structural / Civil Engineer with a proven, successful track record in the nuclear sector required for a long-term contract based in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Working as part of a team in a collaborative way undertaking assessments of existing structures / buildings / infrastructure in terms of suitability for their defined purpose. 

Duties may include:  
Managing / direct designers and checking design information such as calculations and reports. Checking and commenting upon temporary works design proposals by others. The production of structural design calculations as may be required. 

The Candidate:
You will be qualified to HND/Degree level and be a Chartered Engineer. You will have a proven, successful track record in the nuclear sector.
A working knowledge of construction processes that will include traditional forms of construction and innovative forms together with some Construction supervision experience. 

Additional Requirements: 
·You will have experience of managing / direct other designers and to be able to check design information such as calculations and reports 
·Ability to assess existing structures / buildings / infrastructure in terms of suitability 
·The Able to check / comment upon temporary works design proposals
·Have experienced in client facing roles 
·Be conversant with the CDM regulations
