Senior Ecologist

Senior Ecologist, Birmingham, Rate: £30-40/hr
KEY Skills; Species Surveys, Risk Assessments, Site Work, ECoW


The Role:
As a Senior Ecologist, you will be proficient in identifying ecological risk resulting from temporary work activities including archaeology trial trenching and Ground Investigation (GI) works.
You will need to undertake site work at a variety of sites between Southam, Warwickshire and Lichfield/Tamworth, Staffordshire.

The Candidate:
As a Senior Ecologist you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and previous experience in the following:

Experience in undertaking nesting bird checks
Experience in working near badger setts and ability to identify signs and assess sett status
Ability to identify commonly occurring invasive/injurious weeds
Experience in identifying nesting bird potential/activity (including for ground nesting species)
Experience in identifying otter and water vole evidence
Ability to assign suitability to trees for roosting bats
GCN survey licence

You will be responsible for covering initial site walkovers to assess risk, completion of risk assessment trackers for trenches or GI points and provision of Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) services during investigative works.
