Senior Highways Engineer; 9 Months Contract; London; Rate c£40.0/hour (Negotiable) 
Key Skills: Highways Engineering – Design, AutoCAD, DMRB, S278, S38 

The Role: 
As a Senior Highways Engineer, you will be working on a number of schemes for both public sector and private sector clients. 
Schemes are varied and include: challenging local authority highway schemes and will include Junction Improvements and pedestrian/cycle schemes.  

Duties: 
You will be responsible leading and undertaking preliminary/detailed design of highway schemes.
The management, Liaison and leadership with all parties involved in all aspects of schemes and works including partners, councillors, chain suppliers and general public in dealing with customer requests in professional, responsive and timely manner.
You will provide detailed knowledge and application of highways legislation, relevant design procedures, standards and good practice.

The role is based in central London SW1. 

The Candidate:
You will ideally be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
Experience of working in a highway design office at a senior level is essential, typically with at least 5 - 10 years’ practical design experience.
Experience of delivering highway related projects from conceptual stages through all phases of pre-and post-contract activities.
Technical responsibilities for ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with current standards & best practices.
