The Role:
Our client is seeking to appoint a number of Senior Highways Engineers to work on a number of high-profile projects, assisting with and producing outline and detailed design for new cycle projects and new infrastructure projects within the public realm.
o To identify hazards, completion of risk assessments and compilation of pre-construction information ensuring all works are completed in accordance with health & safety legislation.
oTo develop and deliver a range of highways and transportation schemes of various types and sizes including; consultations, inspections, investigations, feasibility studies, strategies, design and construction.
oPreparation of tender/contract documentation. 
oAdministering of the contract, supervision of contractors on site and verification of valuations for completed works.
oDeveloping and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships including councillors, the public, consultants, contractors and private developers.
Researching, analysing and interpreting a range of data including asset data held in GIS to aid compliance with the Council’s policies, procedures and past practises.

The Candidate:
You will be a Senior Highways Engineer with c 10 years’ experience in the public/private sector with the ability to manage multiple projects and undertake the lead on the technical input for projects.
You will be qualified to degree level. Chartered Engineer status desirable.
