Senior Mechanical Engineer: excellent contract opportunity to work in Warrington

The Role:
Our client has an opportunity available for you to work as part of their joint venture with Volker Stevin, delivering a varied portfolio of work that encompasses Water and Wastewater treatment plant upgrades and improvement works.
We require a Senior Mechanical Engineer experienced in design and installation, specialising in the water industry to prepare and support the mechanical outline/detailed design solutions in accordance with programme and budget constraints. You will produce/review project documentation Designer’s Risk Assessments, engineering specifications, datasheets, P&IDs, plant layout drawings and technical schedules. You will review/create feasibility studies, detailed design and calculation, value engineering, HAZOP & DSEAR studies, specification and selection of process equipment, tender assessments and reports as well as undertaking site inspections and asset condition assessments.

The Candidate:
You will be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer, ideally Chartered or close to achieving Chartership.
You must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the Water Industry.
You should have significant experience of producing mechanical design for pumping stations and water/wastewater treatment works, in particular pumping systems design and calculation.
You must have design and construction experience in a multidisciplinary environment. 
Experience in the supervision of mechanical installations on site and commissioning mechanical plant would be an advantage.
Design experience according to UK codes and standards would be an advantage
