The Role:
Our client is a major supplier to the UK and international naval / maritime defence organisations.
They are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on contract in Bristol.
As the Senior Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of naval hydraulic/pneumatic design solutions, specifically within weapon launch systems for submarine application.
Working within the WLS design team, creating system designs and component / supplier selections.　
Ensuring that designs are compliant to requirements including setting to work on submarines.　
Ensuring common design approach and maximum commonalities of systems / components within new product design.　
Checking and approving design documentation, drawings, calculations and supporting formal design reviews.　

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5 years+ experience within the mechanical industry sector.
You should have hydraulic / pneumatic experience.
Component design ideally with NX4, 3D CAD.
You will be qualified to degree / chartered status.
If you have a naval / maritime / defence background, that would be advantageous.
