The Role:
Balfour Beatty are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join the team at their Newport office, working to deliver a large contract to electrify a 40-mile rail route as part of The Great Western Mainline upgrade.

Duties will involve:
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage large sub-contractors and liaise with the ultimate client to help ensure the electrification scheme is completed efficiently and successfully.

The Candidate:
It is essential that you will possess either a Quantity Surveying degree or hold MRICS accreditation.

Ideally, you will also have;
Experience within the Rail, or another industry which is subject to tight regulation
Design management experience
Managed large sub-contractors in the past
Internal trading proficiency
Liaised with the ultimate client on past projects
Managed teams of junior commercial staff.
