Senior Transport Planner – London Lambeth Council - 3 Months+ Contract

The Role:
Our client requires a Senior Transport Planner to represent London Lambeth Council as Planning Authority in the investigation of traffic and transport impacts of new development. You will ensure that new development complies with transport policies and that there are no adverse safety or traffic impact resulting from the new development. You will support the Council’s regeneration aims, including the provision of advice on transport matters in all projects. As Senior Transport Planner you will negotiate and secure significant Section 106 contributions from developers towards transport and public realm improvements. 

The Candidate:
You must be a Senior Transport Planner with experience of Transport Development Control. 
You should have a relevant qualification in town planning, engineering or transport planning. 
You will have knowledge of the planning process including development control procedures and policies. 
You will have experience working in Transport planning environment, making recommendations on the transport impacts of major new development to planning officers.
