The Role:
Technical Performance Manager - Electrical and Industrial Refrigeration required by leading retail group.
To pro actively deliver technical advice, asset management, controls and remote monitoring, expertise and specification across a wide stakeholder group standardizing approach, improving capital and revenue cost-efficiency, reduce risk and improve service quality.
This is a senior professional/management position and includes providing expert advice to the business or Group and will require the incumbent to have the expertise and experience to be able to advise the more complex problems within their area of expertise. There may be a requirement to develop standards, specifications, policies and procedures at this level, and role holders will require the ability to apply knowledge in a broad range of different business situations. Development of staff is likely to be a requirement, either in a line management or mentoring capacity. 

Duties will include:
You will take Ownership of client’s technical design standards, processes and procedures; together with all elements of technical design and specification advice and assistance to ensure all relevant stakeholders undertake their business in a safe and legal manner ranging from office work through to construction projects.
You will undertake technical statutory deep technical audits against assurance framework, such as inspection, trend analysis and collation of stats.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and validation of internal technical policy and procedures to improve technical compliance.
You will undertake Legislation ‘horizon scanning’ to ensure FM react proportionately and swiftly to regulatory compliance changes.
You will attend at meetings and preparation of technical reports and analysis of figures for internal meetings as required by the FMLT & client.

The Candidate: 
You will be an engineer with experience in one or more of the following; Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, Asset or Facilities Management. 
In addition, you will have experience in: Electrical/ Mechanical/ Refrigeration– commissioning, measurement and verification. 
You will ideally have experience in delivering commercial benefits/ returns on investment, increasing asset availability, improving business resilience in critical environments and driven continuous improvement;
Retail and corporate experience with asset and energy management;
Has adopted Responsible and Competent Person under statutory legislation;
Retail and corporate experience with design, specification and project management.
You will ideally be educated to HNC/Degree level or have significant relevant experience.
Membership of a recognised institution: Institution of Electrical Engineers; Institute of Refrigeration; CIBSE or IMechE desirable.
