Mechanical Building Services Engineer
NIFES – Consulting Group

The Brief: A Mechanical Building Services Engineer required to work on a new energy project. Engineer to have experience on similar projects ideally including: CHP, Boiler Replacement, Pipework, Steam and Condensate, gas and fuel oil systems in Hospitals. Candidate also needed to have the ability to chair client / stakeholder meetings.

The Candidate: The company sourced a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer with extensive experience within the required fields.


Infrastructure Design Engineer
Client – Scott Hughes Design

The Brief: A Civil / Infrastructure Engineer to work on a variety of commercial developments covering the residential, commercial, industrial and leisure sectors. Must have the ability to understand a client brief, be responsible for the design of both drainage and roads schemes and conduct client liaison and site visits / meetings. IT literate and comfortable with relevant industry software.

The Candidate: A Degree qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer involved in both drainage and road design utilizing Microdrainage and PDs software to produce commercially viable schemes to the clients specifications.


​Senior Quantity Surveyor
Balfour Beatty Construction

The Brief: seen as a key position the client was seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor; to be engaged on a large-scale project at the University of Reading. Reporting to the project commercial lead, duties to include: handling the procurement and subcontractor liaison for the project.

The Candidate: A degree qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with in addition Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Membership of the Society of Construction Law.


​Project Manager - Construction
Client: MoD DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation) - Winchester

The Brief: Project Manager - Construction to Support the DIO Requirements Manager to capture, track and record existing and future end-user / customer changes to requirements.

The Candidate: An experienced project manager with construction/Infrastructure experience and previous MoD or defence sector experience. Educated to HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject with Project Management qualifications i.e. APM


Highways Project Manager
Client: Costain/CH2M East Sussex Council

The Brief: Highways Project Manager to manage be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of local authority highway projects through whole lifecycle, from new developments to cyclical highway maintenance services to time, cost, quality, specification, safety and environmental requirements.

The Candidate: Degree qualified and experienced in managing highways maintenance and management projects and working in a large, complex, safety focused and integrated highways services organisation. 


Bridge Engineer
Client: WCL Ltd

The Brief: Bridge Engineer to work on major Highway and Rail projects. To undertake the production of design calculations for bridge structures. The preparation of contract documents using NEC forms of contract. Undertaking general inspections to bridges and retaining walls.

The Candidate: Degree qualified and preferably chartered status comfortable in producing design calculations visiting sites, dealing with contractor queries and managing Principal Bridge + General Inspections of structures.


Project Manager – Nuclear 
Client: NNL Ltd

The Brief: Project Manager to be responsible for the commissioning and operation of active waste treatment rigs, interaction with waste producers throughout the UK and EU.
To be responsible for delivering projects safely to the agreed level of quality, schedule and cost in a manner that complies with the defined EHS&Q framework.
Ensuring adequate health and safety arrangements are in place at all times and for sub-contracted work.

The Candidate: a qualified and experienced Nuclear Project Manager with at least 5-10+ years’ experience and with commissioning experience on active waste treatment rigs.

Mechanical Engineers - Power
Client: WSP/PB – Coryton Power Station 

The Brief: Mechanical Inspection Engineers to work on a contract basis at various sites/stations throughout the UK. To undertake Inspection, progressing and expediting of a wide range of Mechanical equipment. Assist the Plant Outage Manager and Quality Surveillance Engineers with the review and approval of inspections, test plans, and manufacturing programmes.

The Candidate: experienced Mechanical Inspection Engineers, with significant experience of the repair and maintenance of Power plants/Outages. Candidates required to have experience and qualifications in NDT (PT, MT, UT) and Weld Inspection/techniques (AWS or CSWIP certs).


Project Manager - Property Refurbishment and Maintenance
Client: EA

The Brief: Project Manager to be responsible for delivering a major refurbishment project.  Developing the business case with the support of the project board, procuring the contractors, and then implementing the preferred option.
To be responsible for managing contractors, management of health and safety and manage the client relationship.

The Candidate: a qualified Project Manager with experience of Building and Property refurbishment projects ideally gained in the public sector or similar. Candidates were required to be able to demonstrate experience in Project Managing office refurbishments, office relocations and new builds.
Educated to HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject (Building, Construction, Quantity Surveying) with Project Management qualifications APM

Project Manager -  Property/Facilities Management
Client: DFT  

The Brief: Project Manager to be responsible for the successful delivery of property projects, involving: customer liaison; writing the brief for Works; obtaining appropriate internal approvals; the appointment, management and co-ordination of external service providers; stakeholder liaison; and, project handover.

The Candidate: a qualified Project Manager with experience of Building and Property maintenance projects and ideally of Projects/Property within the public sector. Candidates needed to be experienced in Building and Property maintenance projects, be educated to HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject (Building, Construction, Quantity Surveying).
