Key Responsibilities ·Lead, develop and deliver design of a range of major and complex highways and transportation schemes of various types and sizes including feasibility design, detailed design, construction and maintenance. ·Identify and design out hazards, complete risk assessments, compile pre-construction information and ensure all design and construction works are planned, coordinated and completed in accordance with relevant legislation. ·Prepare tender, contract documentation, evaluate tender returns, and award the contract. ·Administer the contract, supervise contractors, verify valuations and certify payments for completed works. ·To be responsible for maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships including Councillors, the public, consultants, contractors and private developers. ·Research, analyse and interpret a range of data in order to make objective and effective decisions to issues requiring an in-depth understanding of the respective work-areas ensuring compliance with the Council’s policies and procedures. ·Supervise and check work of junior staff in terms of assisting in project delivery. ·Supervise and check work of statutory undertakers, developers and contractors in terms of construction delivery.

Overview; The project is one of the most important construction projects at the Site, the plant will play a vital role in the clients programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the site’s original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste Storage Silo’s, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by the client. Job Description; Ensuring that installed systems are fit for purpose, integrated, optimised and satisfies the specified functional requirements. Ensuring that installed systems meet all specified project quality and assurance requirements. Liaising with their respective SL Intelligent Customer personnel to ensure pragmatic and accurate interpretation and implementation of standard and procedures. The coordination, support and performance of front line supervision. Ensure the relevant discipline resources are SQEP to perform the tasks and activities required during delivery of the project schedule. Ensure that checking, validation, verification and approval of work is done in accordance with procedures and is consistent with the SQEPness of the people performing the tasks. Undertake any other duties required to ensure the efficient delivery of the project. Essentials Experience of installation of electrical equipment in an industrial environment. Successfully completed a recognised CE&I apprenticeship supported by a valid and in date competency card. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent. City & Guilds 236 part 1 or equivalent. City & Guilds 236 part 2 or equivalent. Member of an accredited trade body e.g. IET.

The successful candidate will oversee various construction elements including Combined Heat and Power (CHP), effluent treatment works, and recycling center. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction services and upholding warranty standards throughout the project. The position offers a long-term contract opportunity spanning 2 years. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) aspects of the construction project. - Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including civils and mechanical colleagues to ensure seamless project execution. - Implement QA/QC procedures and protocols to maintain project quality standards. - Conduct inspections and audits to identify any non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications. - Collaborate with project stakeholders to address any quality-related concerns and facilitate timely resolutions. - Provide leadership and guidance to onsite QA/QC teams to ensure alignment with project objectives. Supporting the Time booking Team with data input into the project time booking system. Provide cover to the Time booking team, support production of reports. Data input and generation of reports from the project/site access system MSITE. Producing a report each week of office numbers and Blue Collar operatives summarising the approval percentage, blue collar resources and workforce average for senior managers. Providing senior managers with any further information/reports regarding attendance numbers. Provide support to the project security pass application process. Provide support to the resourcing team. General Admin duties – Minutes of meetings/typing/photocopying & scanning. Assist with Room booking internal and external for the project. Assist with Travel bookings using the travel booking system. Reception cover when required.
