Key Accountabilities: - Provide unparalleled planning expertise to internal customers within the projects supported. - Implement cutting-edge planning processes, policies, and procedures within the projects. - Produce planning and Earned Value (EV) deliverables in alignment with the agreed business rhythm. - Deliver long-range operational integrated Programme Planning activities. - Support the Business Management Manager with emergent projects directed by the Business Controller. - Develop and maintain relationships with key project stakeholders. - Uphold and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality as an exemplary team player. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver Project Controls Planning and EV Management expertise and analysis for projects, ensuring accurate and timely schedule forecast information for informed decision-making. - Ensure the quality of EV variance analysis for schedule performance (SPI). - Support the development and continuous improvement of end-to-end Planning processes and the production and maintenance of associated policies, procedures, and guidelines. - Assist in delivering Planning tools and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), templates, and training to internal customers. - Review project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and suggest changes to the Project’s Control Manager. - Provide Planning resources for peer reviews as appropriate. Qualifications: - Solid planning experience/background is essential. - Proficiency in Primavera P6 - Enterprise Project Portfolio Management. - Experience within the defense or aviation industry is highly desirable. - Proven analysis of existing plans within the space. - Presentation experience, especially in executive/customer-facing positions. - Knowledge of government work would be advantageous. - Strong stakeholder relationship and communication skills. - Membership in a professional body would be a plus, but experience is more crucial. We are seeking an Interim Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to this exciting project. Job Description: As an Interim Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role during this interim period, focusing on the design and engineering of instrumentation for specific packages and systems, including Process Instrumentation. Your responsibilities will include: - Specification of instrumentation. - Design of protective systems, such as Safety Interlocks and Asset Protection Interlocks. - Control system interfaces. In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for producing design documentation and ensuring the quality of work by reviewing the contributions of other engineers and designers. Essential Experience & Qualifications: To be successful in this interim role, you should have the following qualifications and experience: - A degree in a relevant field or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding. - A minimum of 5 years' experience working within a highly regulated industry. - Awareness of current standards, regulations, legislation, and technical developments. - The ability to provide technical input and produce technical deliverables. Nuclear experience is preferred, particularly if you have worked on Sellafield Ltd projects. Your expertise in the nuclear industry will be an asset as we strive to meet the highest safety and quality standards during this interim assignment.

**Job Title:** CRE Civils Designer – Network Rail **Duration:** 6 months **Rate:** £40 per hour **IR35 Status:** Outside IR35 **Location:** Wigan (3 days office-based, 2 days WFH - Tues and Fri) **Hours:** 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to start between 8-9am and finish between 3-4pm Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is seeking a CRE Civils Designer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. As a Civils Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and engineering of various civil structures related to the rail network, including transformers, EV charging points, steel structures, and concrete foundations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and engineer civil structures, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards. - Conduct ground assessments to determine the appropriate type of foundation for specific structures. - Prepare concrete support specifications. - Utilise Tedds and CAD software for design work (preferred but not essential). - Collaborate with electrical engineers and other team members to deliver high-quality designs. - Utilize your civil engineering background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. - Prior rail experience is preferred but not essential. - Possess a PTS (Personal Track Safety) qualification is not essential, as the role will mainly be office-based with the possibility of occasional site visits, for which passes will be provided. **Benefits:** - Opportunity to work on exciting civil engineering projects within the rail industry. - Access to support from the Civils team in Heaton Mersey when needed. - A dynamic work environment where you will be the primary Civils expert in Wigan. - Competitive hourly rate with an outside IR35 status. - Flexibility with 2 days of remote work (Tuesdays and Fridays).
