Role - Project Engineer (Nuclear) Location - Dumfries Start date - 26/02/2024 Contract length 18 months Project Engineer your main responsibilities would be: Identifying project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project. To manage engineering support to the project. To contribute to production of Project Execution Plans including design, safety case and commissioning strategies. Role - Design engineer (Mechanical) Location - Cumbria The Plant Facing Design Office (PFDO) is the organisation within SL that provides professional engineering support to the Plant Engineering community. The PFDO have a requirement for a Senior Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Designer to provide a design service within an experienced Task Delivery Design Team, supporting and assisting with the implementation and delivery of safe, legally compliant, pragmatic fit for purpose mechanical engineering design solutions that meet functional and business requirements across a number of portfolios. To perform the role of Mechanical Designer as directed and supervised by the Lead Mechanical & Responsible Engineer, providing a design service to the Task Delivery team supporting a number of portfolios across the business. The work is diverse, no problem is ever the same, and every project offers a wide variety of technical challenges. We are dealing with uncertainties, challenging technical problems, whilst operating within a complex and highly regulated environment. If you have a love for engineering, innovation and design, then this is the role for you. Task Delivery provide scheduled design support to reduce operating hazards in the operational plants on site. The role will involve delivering engineering design packages to meet problem definitions from the plant owners. The tasks are scheduled each financial year and prioritised in order of risk, there is potential for a small amount of emergent higher priority work to be carried out within the team should a breakdown occur which is out of the scope of other design delivery routes.

Supporting the Time booking Team with data input into the project time booking system. Provide cover to the Time booking team, support production of reports. Data input and generation of reports from the project/site access system MSITE. Producing a report each week of office numbers and Blue Collar operatives summarising the approval percentage, blue collar resources and workforce average for senior managers. Providing senior managers with any further information/reports regarding attendance numbers. Provide support to the project security pass application process. Provide support to the resourcing team. General Admin duties – Minutes of meetings/typing/photocopying & scanning. Assist with Room booking internal and external for the project. Assist with Travel bookings using the travel booking system. Reception cover when required.
