The Design Council for the UK explains on their website that"design is everywhere"
“It’s what drew you to the last piece of furniture you bought. It's made London taxi cabs easier to get in and out of and it made Stella McCartney's name. It's driving whole business cultures and making sure environments from hospitals to airports are easier to navigate.”
The single word design therefore encompasses a lot.
The American Engineers' Council for Professional Development has defined Engineering as: "the creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes".
