Duties will involve: The successful Utilities Project Manager’s key responsibilities will be, but not limited to the following; ·Manage the delivery of projects to high standards by budgeting and programming ·Manage all phases of the project, from project award to close out, to meet all contractual requirements. ·Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence ·Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction ·Make sure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures. ·Monitoring and communicating project financial performance and administration for all assigned projects ·Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and supplier in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs. The Candidate: You must have a minimum of 10 years’ construction/infrastructure project management experience managing commercial P&L accounts. Ideally you will have experience in utilities, particularly gas networks. You’ll have a formal Project Management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 etc. and ideally hold accreditation with a PM body such as the above. Have excellent knowledge of NEC3; holding NEC3 ECC PM accreditation. Hold experience in CDM Have a recognised health & safety qualification such as NEBOSH, SMSTS, IOSH etc. Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Primavera P6. Flood Risk and Coastal Management Officer: Contract, Worthing, Duration: at least 7-months, Rate: £110 per day, umbrella Key Skills: Flood Risk, Coastal Management, Reservoirs, Flood Modelling, DEFRA, Environmental Agency, Environmental Science, Geography, GIS The Role: Our client, the Environment Agency (sponsored by DEFRA) supervises and works with other organisations to manage the risk of flooding and coastal erosion in England, and also directly manages flood risk from main rivers, the sea and reservoirs. They require a Flood Risk and Coastal Management Officer to support delivery of low- and medium-risk projects, based at the Worthing office in Sussex. Duties will involve: Delivering work by planning, tracking, gathering, maintaining, providing quality assurance and analysing data/information. Delivery of low- and medium-risk multi-disciplinary projects and/or activities to time, cost, quality constraints, ensuring successful outcomes are achieved. Applying up to date, technically sound knowledge to make decisions and provide sound briefings and guidance. Producing clear, concise and persuasive written material and briefing senior members of staff, peers and customers. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have a relevant environmental sciences degree or higher, and will ideally possess at least 12-months post-graduate experience. Contract management experience would be advantageous, particularly with flood modelling software (e.g. licence management).
