According to a recent article Manchester is drawing investment as companies find London’s costs outweigh its advantages.

A recent article in the Financial Times: highlighted that at least seven big companies are considering opening in Greater Manchester.

Costs for office space in Manchester are a fraction of London’s, it has the largest tram network in the country, Universities respected for Engineering and the Sciences, an airport that serves over 200 destinations and a population that speaks more than 200 languages.

With the recent bad news of $200bn of cuts to projects in the Oil and Gas sectors and with the major engineering service companies in this sector facing, challenges to cut costs; might we see some movement here?
