The Environment Agency has recently formed an integrated team, TEAM2100; with engineering and programme management firm CH2MHill, construction partner Balfour Beatty and other specialist contractors.

TEAM2100; is the Environment Agency’s 10-year programme to refurbish and replace tidal flood defences in London and the Thames estuary.

The Environment Agency is responsible for inspection of all defences in London and the Thames estuary and will be carrying out detailed engineering and structural investigations into the condition of tidal flood defences in London and the Thames estuary.

The flood defences include the Thames Barrier and 350 kilometres of flood walls and embankments, smaller barriers, pumping stations and flood gates.

Jobs on this essential work are now starting to come out and include both Project Management and Engineering Design roles.
