The Role:
The job is for an assistant to the Project Manager providing key support in tracking actions, document control, and coordination between design and construction teams and helping to ensure cost, quality and time are optimised across each project. You will be working on three large capital building projects totaling over £2m, which are due to be delivered in May 2016.
The successful candidate will be working client side to support the delivery of several large capital projects at the clients manufacturing site in Brighton. They will be directly assisting the clients Project Manager on two new build projects and one refurbishment. However there will be a number of smaller projects such as office moves and relatively small refurbishments that the candidate will be expected to assist with.
The candidate will work very closely with the Project Manager and will be required to carry out the following tasks:
Creating and updating project programmes using MS Project
Managing action trackers for each project
Liaising with internal stakeholders to keep them up to date on project progress/issues
Arranging site set up/welfare for each site
Assessing Risk Assessments and Method Statements from Contractors as well as creating these document where necessary
Ensuring the H&S standards are kept very high throughout the project process
Helping to coordinate design information between numerous external consultants
Document Control
Helping to interrogate tender returns and management of the tender process
Quality control of contractors installations / snagging

The Candidate:
It is highly desirable that the applicant will have worked client-side on numerous construction projects and has experience of working as either an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager.
