Assistant Project Manager - Construction; 5mths Contract; £Negotiable; Peterborough

The Role:
Assistant Delivery Project Managers; required to join a team working on MoD / USVF (United States Visiting Forces) projects to assist in the project management of the delivery of one or more projects through the design and delivery stages.
Role is based at Peterborough with site visits to at either RAF Lakenheath or RAF Wyton
SC Level Clearance is required for this role.
Duties will include:
You will provide support the Project Manager on the project delivery of one or more projects through the design and delivery of assets. 
Duties will include ensuring; projects are correctly scoped, deliverables are clearly communicated and key parameters of cost, time and quality are measured. 
You will provide support the Project Manager in the design and supply chain project initiation meetings and subsequent progress meetings and liaise and work with the DIO Commercial and Procurement teams to assist the Project Manager to deliver the projects within the agreed project parameters. 
Work with the NEC Supervisors to ensure that the necessary quality and CDM standards are met and making sure that deficiencies are rectified.
Support the Project Manager in administering Framework contracts, throughout the design and construction phases. Post Contract working with the NEC Supervisor where appointed to ensure contractual/regulatory and commercial standards are met.

The Candidate: 
You will have circa 3-years prior experience in Project Management – Construction and ideally hold a recognised PM qualification or Prince2
You will have 3 years Project Management experience in Infrastructure Capital works or similar.
You will have good IT skills including experience with OFFICE suite of tools inc Excel proficiency Previous experience of working with the MoD DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation) or the USVF (United States Visiting Forces) is highly desirable. 
SC level Clearance is required for this role.
