Assistant Quantity Surveyor; 3 month Contract; Wolverhampton; to £220/day

The Role:
AQS to support a Utilities GDSP Gas and Water Contract based in Wolverhampton on a 3 month contract. 
Reporting into the SQS the individual will ensure all GDSP work types follow BB Governance and Processes. Support and Challenge operations and drive efficiencies, reduce actual costs and maximise gainshare for GDSP. 
To take personal responsibility and accountability for actions, constantly striving to improve and exceed expectations ensuring safety and quality are never compromised.
Duties to include:
Assisting in the preparation of valuation data 
Collation of site measurement of construction gangs
Ensure the Client is informed of project costs and agree changes. 
WIP Reporting 
Produce client accruals and produce client applications
Agree values and costs for jobs - Final Account, Preparation, Audit & Agreement 
Subcontractor engagement, administration, sale log on commercial database, accruals on oracle, payment certs through database, payless notices, actual cost reviews 
Log TM accruals and process TM estimates, TM cost v value reports
Oracle sales

The Candidate:
Must be educated to a minimum of A-Level (or equivalent).
GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths
The successful individual will have Utilities experience within Gas, Water or both. 
Highways Experience will also be reviewed however, the Key focus is submitting candidates who have worked within the Utilities Sector and has carried out NEC contract processes.
