The Role:
This is your chance to move to a prestigious appointment to be considered a career pinnacle.
Following the Grenfell Tower fire, the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) has established a Building Safety Programme. The programme focusses on remediating fire risks in existing high-rise residential buildings to make them safe. 
This role will focus on the Remediation work stream initially, with the first project being to lead the development of an intervention strategy to remediate a segment of buildings that are owned by smaller building owners and investment companies.
This person will be part of developing the Commercial Blueprint for MHCLG, and be expected to contribute to the design and development of the Commercial Function in MHCLG.

The Candidate: 
You will be from a Quantity Surveying/Commercial management background and have held a senior position within the built environment/construction sector for at least 5 years.
Additionally, you must;
·Be familiar with the commercial aspects and the industry structure associated with property development and construction. 
·Be comfortable working at all levels within an organisation – from the strategic to the operational
·Consider yourself diplomat, with deep practice of “politics” in complex organisations
·Be an experienced and successful leader, with outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management capabilities with suppliers, clients and colleagues alike
·Hold active Counter-Terrorism-Check clearance.
