The Company/Role:
Our client has over 50 years of history as a M&E Building Services & Energy Consultancy with numerous offices throughout the UK.
Due to an enviable reputation, repeat business and winning bids they are looking to recruit an Associate Director to lead an existing and vibrant team in their Manchester office.
The role requires experience with:
CHP design, Multi-megawatt gas-fired reciprocating engines, Boiler design, including waste-heat boilers, District energy network design, MPHW/LTHW systems design.
Other important knowledge would include:
CHP O&M Contracts, CHP performance contracts and finance models.
Biomass boiler, fuel-handling system design, Standby power generation design and HV network design.
 
The Candidate:
You will be expected to have at least 15 years of post-graduate experience in relevant roles and to be able to demonstrate success in a similar role.
You should be confident and an excellent communicator with the ability to win new work from potential clients.
A commercial focus is important and the ability to manage a team of engineers, consultants and support staff is essential. You should have the technical authority to challenge client and engineering team output, and time management skill to meet project deadlines.
You should also have experience/knowledge of Construction Contracts - NEC3/4, MF1, JCT, etc and
Low-carbon and environmental legislation
