The Company Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join a well established MEP Consultancy, working on some exciting Healthcare, Listed Buildings, Hotels & Leisure, Industrial, Data Centres, Restaurants, District Heating Networks, Education, Commercial & Residential projects.
The company is currently going through an exciting extensive growth period, due to a large number of highly prestigious new projects.
The complete full process of the good design of the mechanical engineering content of the building and design projects from Inception to Completion, either on an individual basis or as part of a Project Team.
To ensure that the mechanical engineering content of schemes is carried out within approved budgets and agreed time scales.
To promote and develop the highest quality of design and constructional standards for mechanical engineering with particular emphasis on value-for-money and cost-in-use, whilst assisting in ensuring compliance with client requirements, current legislation and Codes of Practice.
To participate in the development of improved working methods and developing close and effective working relationships with other disciplines to maximise the benefits of the consultancy services and integrated use of computer technology in the design process.
To manage, mentor and supervise less experienced engineers and technicians.
Hands on design in heating, ventilation, and cooling using Hevacomp and IES.
Producing gas pipe sizing calculations.
Pricing and tendering for new projects.
Attending design team meetings and liaising with other stakeholders such as Structural Engineers and Architects.
Business development and building client relations.
You will be Chartered Engineer and BEng / BSc Degree qualified.
At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role in building services.
You will have a professional attitude and an ability to act as an ambassador for the company.
