Bridge Inspector; Immediate START; Contract in East Sussex; to 30/hour GBP

The Role: 
As Bridge Inspector you will be responsible for undertaking general and principal inspections, prioritising works, arranging and checking routine maintenance works to be undertaken in conjunction with the County Council’s Maintenance Contractor. You will contribute towards the maintenance and upkeep of the structures management database to facilitate the cost effective maintenance of the highway structures asset. In this role you will take measurements, prepare plans, designs and estimates for schemes and routine maintenance, including input to computerised works management systems. You will also assist in all aspects of design, inspection and maintenance of highway structures.

The Candidate: 
You will be a Bridge Inspector with 5 years relevant experience.
You must have knowledge of structural maintenance methods.
You will have a minimum HNC qualification, ideally BSc/BEng Civil Engineering qualification.
You should be a Member of Institution of Civil Engineers or working towards this qualification.
You should be aiming for accreditation through Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS). 
You must be able to adhere to ESCC health and safety policies.
You will have knowledge of CDM Regs.
