The Role:
As Building Services Engineer - Estates you will be a key player in the Professional Services Group, with a seminal role in both development of new Regional Centres and delivery of the legacy estate.
In scope of IR35.

Duties will involve:

·Proactively contributing to the corporate and collective leadership of the Directorate as a member of the Estates Wider Leadership team
·Providing technical advice and guidance to Grade 6 Head of FM Services
·Providing building services expertise and support to Grade 6 Head of Professional Services
·Owning and assuring the Building Services standards for the estate and working with the Facilities Management Services Team advising on their incorporation into future contracts
·Providing technical support in the contractual definition of Building Services requirements
·Scoping the requirements for, and quality assuring, Building Services deliverables under the contracts for external professional services, and managing the interface with those contractors
·Undertaking condition surveys aimed at assessing building long term suitability and to
plan Lifecycle Replacement (LCR) needs.

The Candidate: 
You must be a professionally-qualified chartered engineer, holding corporate membership in a relevant engineering institute (mechanical and/or HVAC).
For example; IHEEM, IMechE, CIBSE
You will also exhibit extensive experience in a large estates and commercial environment.

In addition, you will also demonstrate the following;

·Highly motivated and passionate about delivering projects to time, budget and quality
·Organised and methodical with particular attention to detail
·The ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure
·Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques
·Be commercially aware
·Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels with clients and employees alike and across all professional disciplines
·Able to manage client expectations
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
