Fitout Building Inspector (Outside IR35)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitout Distribution Centre Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil structural engineering, coupled with comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of fitout, including HVAC systems, lighting, and fire safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough inspections at various stages of distribution center fitout projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, client specifications, and industry best practices.

- Evaluate structural integrity, mechanical systems, electrical components, and safety measures to verify adherence to design plans and relevant codes.

- Provide detailed reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective actions to project stakeholders.

- Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to address issues promptly and effectively.

- Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion and quality assurance.

- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to different project sites as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience in construction inspection, preferably within the distribution center or industrial facility sector.

- Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, lighting, fire safety systems, and other fitout components.

- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
