Buyer: Contract, Bristol, Duration: 6-months, Rate: c£20/hr Ltd
KEY Skills: Procurement, Supplier Management, MSSP, CIPS

The Role:
To provide the client with support in the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring that they are consistent with required delivery, quality, technical and commercial expectations.

Duties will involve:
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for;
Ensuring all Contracts within the individual’s authority meet the client’s Commercial, Health and Safety policies
Ensuring appropriate Contract T&Cs are applied
To source, process and place Contracts in sufficient time to meet the required delivery date, ensuring that the best total acquisition cost is achieved, consistent with the specified technical, quality assurance and delivery requirements.
Assist with the development and negotiation of Contract Terms and Conditions
Monitor the performance of suppliers
Implement best practice supplier development and management principles
Analysing procurement spends and seeking to introduce the most cost-effective procurement route to suit each circumstance or group of circumstances.

The Candidate:
You will have five to ten years’ experience in a similar role as well as the following qualifications;
GCSE English and Mathematics – grade C minimum
Hold or working towards membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply
