Excellent 9-month contract opportunity for a 3D Civil CAD Technician developing and managing all engineering / CAD data on Network Rail infrastructure; based in Newport Wales: Rate £300 per day

The Role:
Updating 2D and 3D models to as built information, production and management of all integrated 3D CAD models to all route sections onsite, problem solving and design and liaise with design team including IDR/IDC 3D model representation.　
Some 3D modelling for various purposes such as level crossings, track, buried services, etc.
Some clash detection.
Undertake validation, verification and quality assurance exercises for all CAD models.
Support the set-up and delivery of design reviews.
Evaluating and resolving problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and drawing conclusions and assisting less experienced team members in using technology.

The Candidate:
Experience in working in the rail sector or similar (e.g. highways).
Good working knowledge of 2D (some 3D) CAD tools - e.g. AECOsim, MicroStation.
Essential - experience in working within a ProjectWise environment.
Familiarity with Network Rail CAD standards would be useful.
