Summary:
Our client Magnox at Hinkley A require a Civil Construction Engineer to work on a long-term contract based on site in Somerset. The duration of this contract is expected to be over 12 months.

The Role:
The Civil Construction Engineer is accountable to the Site Construction Manager for ensuring contractors employed on the MAGNOX decommissioning project execute works in a safe and timely manner.
You will be responsible for delivering safe management of contractors and carrying out regular formal inspections.
Record findings and place actions to correct where deficiencies are noted.
Carry out a regular review of all contractor safety documentation.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Civil Engineer with at least 5 - 10 years site experience within the nuclear sector.
You will be qualified to at least HNC level.
You will have experience of delivering projects in a highly regulated industry.
NEBOSH - Experience of health and safety legislation or CITB site management training.
Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations.
Understanding of NEC3 forms of contract.
