Long-term Contract for a Civil Construction Manager to work on a Major Civils Project (Battersea)
KEY Skills: Marine, Construction Manager, Wastewater, Tunnelling
The Role:
Develop a tailored application of systems, process and tools suitable for management and supervision of the Boat Relocation works contractor;
Test and ensure their readiness for use at contract award and prior to site mobilisation
Lead reviews of construction documentation to support construction activities including RAMS, temporary works design and supporting construction processes and procedures.
Assist and work with Project Manager to ensure that Thames Tunnel’s HSSE/CDM, quality, financial, risk management, business and policy expectations are met throughout works activities
Develop change requests in accordance with project procedures
Provide audit and oversight to ensure Contractor budget, schedule and quality commitments are met for the relevant sections of the Central Area
Take responsibility for work progress and technical performance of sections of the Central Area as required
The Candidate:
Marine civil construction management experience including piling, dredging and major lifting operations over water and use of jack-up barges.
Significant experience of setting up and implementing construction management processes for complex engineering and construction projects.
Experience of leading multiple design and construction elements of projects with a value in excess of £50m
Familiar with the NEC 3 form of contract
Key interfaces
Programme Delivery – individual project managers throughout the delivery team
Delivery Commercial Team, Project Controls, Design, HSSE, Consents and Third Party teams.
Main Works Contractors Construction Managers, Engineering Managers, engineers, Supervisors and their design consultants
