6 Month Contract for a Highways/Rail Project Manager working on delivering major highway schemes for Highways England in the South East – rates up to £800 a day

The Role:
Providing clear operational leadership for the successful delivery of Highways England’s 5-year investment programme on large complex major projects.
The role requires effective leadership and co-ordination management to their inter-dependencies including oversight of any operational risks and issues arising.
The Regional Investment Programme develops projects identified through the strategy from identification of options, through planning and statutory processes, acquisition of the land on which to construct the road, and finally through construction phases leading to road opening and handover into operation.

The Candidate:
Degree level
Preferably chartered or IPA
Experience of complex infrastructure project management (motorway, rail, major infrastructure)
Design and/or construction phase project management
Experience with all aspects of health and safety
Robustly managing construction project delivery
Experience of working in a multiple stakeholder environment
Competencies in creative problem solving and optioneering
