Civil Quantity Surveyor: 5 Months+ Contract; Brighton; Rate: c£50.0/hour Ltd

The Role:
This role represents a key position within the cost management team of the client, working under NEC3 contracts and providing the team with appropriate guidance and management.

Duties will involve:
As a Civil Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for;
·Supply chain management 
·Contract administration 
·Ensuring the necessary internal and external periodic valuations and reports are prepared and issued in line with deadlines as required
·Implementing commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with company and contract requirements 
·Ensuring appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues
·Providing guidance and support to your team, and develop the skills and competencies of the staff to ensure successful succession planning.
·Providing commercial advice to the Operations Team
·Working alongside the Finance Team in the other areas to ensure a consistent approach across the business. 
·Ensuring timely and accurate production of Target Price & Final accounts within the contract requirements through effective interaction with commercial and operational teams
·Managing the work process from budget estimate through to final account though effective interaction with Operations and Client.

The Candidate: 
You will be a professionally qualified and accredited QS with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience within a civil, highways or building engineering environment.
Experience of managing a team and providing them with support and guidance is strongly desirable.
Must have demonstrable history of working under NEC3 family of contacts.
