Overview / Responsibilities:
Wilde Recruitment are working alongside a very well established company who are based in Ellesmere Port in order to recruit a Civil Structural Engineer.
This is a contract position running initially for 6-12months.
The role is a general Civil and Structural engineer to support projects with basic Concrete design (up to issue for tender only) and structural steelwork for things like pipe bridges.
The role will expand to include some CAD work and input into the structural steelwork specification for a major project in Middlesbrough (based from our offices).
Our general approach is to work on FEED and Basic Design before passing the design over to Specialists (vendors, EPC etc.) so the level of detail required from our engineers is not up to issue for construction but adequate for FEED cost estimates and for a third party to take over the design as it progresses into construction.
Prepare initial concept designs for discussion and development with the Client 
Play an active role in design development through to completion. 
Carry out analysis and detailed engineering design of the structure using a variety of computer applications. 
Prepare drawings and contract documents for construction. 
Liaise with the construction team to resolve site issues and contract variations.
Assist in the delivery of projects to meet timescales, budget and quality requirements.
Undertake inspections and condition surveys of a variety of structures and produce technical reports.

Candidate:
You will be an experienced Civil Structural Engineer.
Ideally qualified to at least HNC / HND / Degree level.
You will need good communication skills, both written and oral.
