Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit a Civil Structural Works Engineer to work on a 6 month rolling contract at Devonport.
As a Civil Structural Works Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:

Enabling Works Package Manager – to communicate on project deliverables to scope, schedule and cost. Raise any technical issues that may have an effect on overall project delivery
Design Lead – to ensure that Enabling Works do not conflict with planned permanent works.
Safety Case Engineers - to ensure that the technical design aspects of the engineering supports the change requests prepared for Enabling Works design packages
MIP / Engineering Services TA Leads (or equivalent) – to ensure system / facility design can be integrated within existing site infrastructure and share learning from experience etc.
Health & Safety Lead – to participate in management of conventional Health & Safety hazards. Suggested methods – contribution to and update of project Design Risk Register(s) and mitigation plans.

 

The Engineer must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in 
Have civil/structural engineering knowledge relevant to design of scope elements;
Support the sub-contracted design houses to enable them to develop an integrated design;
Have an understanding of construction design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post and project requirements;
Have an understanding of Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality requirements, and ability to manage projects in accordance with these procedures;
Have a good working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications including BIM;

Candidate:
You will have 5-10 years experience.
Degree / Chartered ideally, but experience counts!
