12-month Contract for a Civils Estimator; London; c£40-£60/hour

The Role: 
Prepare estimates of construction costs based on design stage information for roads, groundwork, structures and enabling works.
Advise designers during the design development stage by assessing the cost implications of design decisions and alternatives. 

The Candidate: 
Demonstrable experience of providing estimates on major infrastructure projects preferably involving ground works, roads, bridges or tunnels. 
Experience of projects utilising NEC forms of contract and the various options for contract management. 
Experience of standard methods of measurement for construction works. 
Health and Safety for construction activities. 
Project cost control methods. 
Risk assessment, review and mitigation costs. 
Value engineering and cost reduction exercises.
