Commercial Manager - Exciting long term contract in Nuclear industry based at Dounreay

The Role:
Our client requires a Commercial Manager for nuclear projects at Dounreay in Thurso, Scotland (Highlands), to manage commercial activities on behalf of the client DSRL. You will oversee the supply chain and provide commercial support, managing the procurement of goods and services for potentially complex or high risk requirements, and overseeing the project teams through the sanctioning and validation process. You will develop contracting strategies and policies for high value/risk procurement, negotiating settlements to complex claims. You will provide specialist commercial and procurement advice to the company, providing post contract management support including variations, complaints, claims and disputes that arise with the supply chain. 

DSRL is the site licence company responsible for the clean-up and demolition of Britain’s former centre of fast reactor research and development. They aim to provide successful decommissioning of a complex nuclear site, based in Thurso, Scotland.

The Candidate:
You must be a Commercial Manager with 7 years experience of contract management/procurement. 
You will have a degree in Engineering/Business or equivalent. 
You will be CIPS Chartered or equivalent. 
You must have QS experience and experience of administrating Option A and Option C in NEC3. 
You should have Nuclear industry experience.
