Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side the MOD to recruit a Commercial Officer to work on an 8 month contract, WFH and 1 day a week at Porton Down.
As a Commercial Officer your role will involve:

As a Commercial Officer your main responsibilities would be:
Providing active support to a small commercial team charged with placing a series of contracts in support of a programme of work comprising interlinked requirements.
Supporting as a minimum: development of commercial strategies, contract placing timetables, advertisement preparation, invitations to tender/negotiate, contract management plans, evaluation strategies, supporting evaluation of tenders, planning negotiation strategies and provision of contract award actions.
Liaison with internal stakeholders and tenderers as needed during contracting processes.
Experience of public procurement from within the public sector.
Identifying the most suitable commercial approach to the circumstance, including assessing the potential trade-offs and the level of risk mitigation required to achieve the best commercial outcome.
Taking ownership of decisions at tender evaluation stage and applying commercial expertise and judgement accordingly.
